Consultation
In our first session together, we will spend up to half an hour talking through your medical background so I would recommend you book for a minimum of 90 minutes. This is so that you can get a chance to tell me what you would like to get out of your treatment or treatments, and so that I can get a full picture of who you are and what your body may need. We will agree together what to work on and how, setting an intention for the quality of touch and any visualisations which may help to achieve your goal.

Every session hereafter we will talk about how the last session went for you, anything you have noticed different since your last session, how you feel today and what you would like to get out of your next massage.

Your treatments are all totally confidential and I will not share your details with anyone. You can feel safe and at ease in trustworthy hands.

During the treatment
I will leave the room, ask you to undress down to your underwear and to lie yourself down covered with soft fluffy towels on my massage couch. Then surrounded by soft light and music and burning oils if appropriate, I will start your very own massage.

I will check in with you to make sure that you are content with my touch – please don’t feel shy about asking for more or less pressure, to work longer in an area etc. – this is your treatment and I am very much here at your service.

At the end of the treatment
After the massage I will leave you to get up and dressed, and we will sit down and talk about how the treatment went. I will show you what areas of note I worked on, and may recommend an on-going treatment plan. You will go away with a few key pieces of aftercare advice, which may help to prolong the benefits of the massage and minimise further aggravations.

You don’t need to bring anything but yourself to the treatment but if you have a long journey back I would recommend bringing a bottle of water to help flush through the dislodged toxins. If you have verrucae or warts on your feet, it would be very helpful to me if you could cover these with a plaster ahead of the session.

Consultation
You will be asked to complete in advance and bring along a short medical questionnaire and we’ll have a short chat to negotiate the treatment and your seating position so that we can dedicate as much of the time as possible to massage.

During the massage
Once comfortable on the massage chair, I'll work through your clothes to relieve any shoulder, back or neck tension, and I'll also use some Indian Head Massage techniques to bring soothing clarity to your headspace.

After the massage
Alongside some aftercare recommendations from me, I welcome any comments you have on how the treatment went which we can take into consideration for future sessions.
